War of the Queens.

It's just amazing that I was in my library looking at our ancestry. I couldn't believe what I saw. I had twin great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great (need I say more??) grandmothers! And what was shocking is that their portraits looked almost exactly like the Red and White Queen of Wonderland.

I immediately called my great-great aunt, Thalia who I'm close with.  She confirmed that the two queens were our ancestors. It appears that Queen Iracebeth and Queen Mirana were twin sisters just like me and Trixine. Their mother, Queen Mommah was very fond of rare red roses that grew even in the winter when she was expecting her twins. When they were born, they were identical and had a lot of similarities but as they grew up, one got inclined to red and orange while the other with white and blue.

Pretty soon they drifted apart as their interests were opposite. Princess Iracebeth liked fire and everything fiery whereas Princess Mirana was interested in the cold and ice. They eventually clashed and each had her own followers dividing their kingdom in half. Everything was peaceful at first until the Queen Mother became severely sick and requested them to marry so she can see her grandchildren before she dies.  Princess Iracebeth was in love with Valiant, the Knight. Unfortunately, Valiant was attracted to Princess Mirana and asked for the latter's hand in marriage. Princess Iracebeth was furious that she declared war. There was nothing the Queen Mother could do to make her daughters rule the land equally as she had hoped.  Princess Mirana did not plan on giving up her role as one of two rulers of Wonderland so war began.

With Queen Iracebeth's harsh and cruel ruling, she won the war forcing Princess Mirana and her troops to flee towards the dark and cold side of Wonderland. Many feared the new queen. But there was a prophecy that one girl will change the fate of Wonderland - Alice.

Queen Iracebeth was bitter and never married. She never found out that Princess Mirana married Valiant and had twin daughters, Princess Rose Red and Princess Snow White. It is from Snow White that me and Trixine were descended.

I thought it was such a cool story and it was awesome that we were related to them.
